How to do a cartwheel!


This is one of the most basic, yet complex skill to  a beginner gymnast. I have "mastered" my cartwheel already so I am going to teach you how to do it!

Steps for Cartwheels:                    

Step 1: Start with your dominant leg in front of you with your arm by your ears.

Step 2: Go into a "t" position ( the 2nd picture) by leaning forward.

Step 3: Kick your leg up so that you can kick yourself up and over.

Step 4: Make sure you look where you are landing kick around yourself.

Step 5: Land in a "t" position again but instead have your bad leg in the front.

Step 6: Put your dominant leg down and your finished!

How to do the Splits



Splits:

Don't worry, If you don't have your splits all the way down that's pretty normal. So if you do have an interest in doing the splits, this is the right blog for you!

Stretching:

ALWAYS remember to stretch. You can stretch daily or at least once a week. Before you start your splits you have to stretch. Without stretching you may not be able to go all the way down to your splits unless you are naturally flexible. Some different types of stretches that you can do are:
